I disabled the 'Project Pages' section by mistake and I am using Classic Software Project . Kindly help me how to get that Section back . I found out that we have a features section in next gen project for enabling/disabling features but not in Classic . But why Project Pages is there in Classic Project when after disabling it we can not enable it?
Hello @Onkar Madan,
Thank you for reaching out to Atlassian Community!
After disabling a feature on a Classic project, you can enable it again by clicking on “Add item”:
Please, take your time to test and if you have any other questions regarding this matter, please let us know.
Kind regards,
Angélica

Hi @Angélica Luz , Thanks a lot for the support. I am not getting this page on clicking on 'Add item' . On clicking 'Add Item' , I got the following, this seems to only add shortcut:

Thank you for the details, @Onkar Madan.
I’m sorry I didn’t check before, but I see now that your site has only Jira Software, and to use “Pages” it’s necessary to have Confluence as well.
I tested here on a site that didn’t have Confluence and the "Project pages" appear, but after disabling it, you can only enable it again if you add Confluence to your site.
Please, go to the Cog icon > Billing > Manage subscriptions and click on “Add more Atlassian products” to add Confluence.

Hi @Angélica Luz , Could you tell me full form of Cog icon. Didnt got which icon is it. Also I have subscription of confluence in my other project along with JIRA and I have added confluence link over there. Attaching the cropped image for the same.

Hi @Onkar Madan,
Jira and Confluence must be under the same domain for the feature to work. I understand that you have Confluence on another site, but Pages only work if both are from the same atlassian.net site.
The Cog icon I mentioned is the one on the top right corner where you can access the Administration details of your site.

Hi @Angélica Luz I do have Jira and Confluence subscriptions under the same domain but I am still not getting an option to Add Pages in Add item pop-up. The only thing that comes up is adding a shortcut.
Is there any other way to get the 'Project Pages' link back in a Classic project.?

Hello @Vlajko Knezic,
Thanks for reaching out to Community!
I can see that your site has Confluence, Jira Software, and Jira Core.
The Pages feature is available for Software projects only, so in case you are using a Business project, the "Add item" will only show the "Add shortcut" option.
I recorded a gif with the steps to disable/enable the feature on Jira Software projects:

I have exactly the same problem as Onkar, was a solution found? I also accidentally switched off project pages in my Jira project and I can't get it back again. I have active Jira and Confluence sbscriptions in the same domain, but I can't find a setting to restore the pages link in the project menu anywhere. I can't start a new project, I need to find the setting.

Hello @Nick Steel,
Thank you for reaching out to Atlassian Community!
If you are using a company-managed (classic project), the steps to enable the feature again are by following the steps I mentioned. Click on “Add item” to enable “Pages” again.
If it’s a team-managed (next-gen project), the Pages must be enabled on Project settings > Features.
Kind regards,
Angélica

OK, thanks, Angelica, I found that, works now.

I'm using Atlassian cloud and your solution doesn't work for me. "Add item" only allows me to add a url just as Onkar mentioned.

Hi @George,
Welcome to Atlassian Community!
I can see that your site has Confluence, Jira Service Management, and Jira Software.
With this said, can you please let us know if the affected project is Software, Service Management, or Business?
Is it a company-managed (classic) or team-managed (next-gen) project?
Kind regards,
Angélica

@Angélica Luz Many thanks for your response Angelica. It affects one of our Jira project and it's a company-managed one. I accidentally disable the item and couldn't find it back anymore. If it's needed, I can also raise a support request.

Hi George,
On Jira Software company-managed projects, the only option to enable the Pages again is on "Add item".
I tried to replicate it here using Kanban and Scrum projects and when disabling the feature, it will show the option to enable it again on Add item.
What happened in Onkar's case is that there was no Confluence under the same domain Jira was, but I was able to check that there is Confluence on your site, so you should be able to enable the feature again.
If it doesn't show after refreshing the page or if any other administrator can enable the feature, then please, reach out to our support so they can access your site and check what is happening.
Kind regards,
Angélica

Interesting. I have not played with PP to any extent. I do see where there is a toggle and assume that is what you used to disable? When you disable does the sidebar link completely disappear? If not, when you click on PP after disabled what do you see?

It gets disappeared from sidebar after I disabled it and I couldnt find a way to get PP section back.

That is what I feared. I did look into the project settings but didn’t see anywhere to reenable. It would seem to me that this should all be done under project settings vs. on the sidebar but alas. You might check with Atlassian Support. I will also ping other Community Leaders to see if they have any thoughts.

I wouldn’t necessarily call it a bug but rather an incomplete design/implementation. A bug is when something isn’t working as designed. But potato...po-tat-o

I agree we cant say why PP was there initially and once disabled, cant be restored. I am sure it wasnt meant to be designed that way so something is incomplete here.

So its not working as designed. We cant say Deadlock condition as incomplete designs. Incomplete designs are also bugs, Design Flaws .

One correction to my earlier suggestion about contacting support. I note that you are on free version so that isn’t an option for you. If your need for the project page is critical you could consider creating new project using current project as template and then move all issues over.
