I am trying to set up a project within which at least 4 teams need to be able to exchange and coordinate tasks. Three out of four teams should be using Kanban boards and one team should be using a Scrum board.
The issue it seems is that no Scrum Board (or Kanban board) can be added for business projects. While i am able to access the Boards menu and create a new board, the problem is that the location field lists only software projects. In other words - i cannot add a scrum board to a business project.
While browsing for a solution online I have came across this post:
answer https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Jira-Software-questions/Why-can-t-I-create-a-new-board-in-the-project/qaq-p/2187612
but to be honest i am finding it hard to believe that such limitation would ever be in place as having multiple boards of different types seems essential when creating a company based project.
The simplest rules of interdependencies between teams mandate the synchronization of discreet and continuous tasks across boards.
I anyone has come across a similar issue in the past, please let me know. Your help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
Hi @Mladen Savic and welcome to the Community!
You can indeed not add a scrum or kanban board to a business project because these boards are Jira Software features and business projects are part of Jira Work Management.
However, you can create a scrum or kanban board in a Jira Software project and use the board filter to pull in the issues from your business project.
Hope this helps!
