Project creation permissions

Hello everybody,

i wonder if there is a constrain in Jira in order to allow to some users to create some kind of projects: create software projects but no service desk project for instance.

Not out the box; if the user has permission to create projects they can create all kinds.

You can expand who can create projects though with apps such as:

• Project Creator: Where approvals can be set for Admins to verify
• Easy Project Creator: Which can be limited for users per project template type

It is not possible to do what you want out of the box. I'm not sure there is an addon for this.
