I created a company managed project that shows in my company dashboard under view all projects. However when I try to access from that JIRA software getting error project cannot be found. Not sure what I have done wrong but need help.
I forgot to mention I can access via project settings.
Thanking you in advance for your kind assistance,
Cynthia
Hello @Cynthia
Is the project a Software, Service, or Business project?
You say you have access via project settings. Can you explain what you mean by that? Exactly how are you getting to the project settings?
If you are able to get to the project settings, are you able to click the Return To Project option and then see the issues or board in the project?
Do you only get the error if you try to access the project by clicking on its link in View All Projects?
Can you show use or copy the exact text of the error message?
Hi Tudy, it is JIRA Software (Cloud). The error says the project is not available -it may have been deleted or my permissions may have changed. I did add role specific access so I am not sure if that created the problems or not. Nevertheless, I have deleted it and started over from scratch.
I forgot to give my disclaimer: I am new to JIRA administration so I am probably making a lot of "user errors".
Thank you for your time.

If you had added modified the Permission Scheme to change who had the Browse Projects permissions, or changed who was assigned to the Roles associated with that permission, you may have eliminated your permissions to view the project content.
As an admin for Jira you might be able to fix that by directly accessing the Project Settings / People page to correct the roles assigned to you in the project

Or if you had modified the Browser Projects setting in the Permission Scheme you could modify it again to undo your change.
