Hello,
Our company is using Jira, Confluence and Bitbucket (installed on a local server) in our environment today. But the plan is to migrate this environment to the cloud.
However, the question about GDPR and personal data came up. And we would like to know where the data will be stored if we migrate to your cloud service. Is this something you could help us with?
I found this information for Confluence, is this the same with Jira and Bitbucket?
Best regards.
Adam
Hi @Pc Addon,
As you may read in https://www.atlassian.com/trust/reliability/infrastructure - data residency is available today as part of our cloud Enterprise plan, and new Standard and Premium cloud subscriptions for Jira Software, Confluence, and Jira Service Management.
From the same article, you can find that Bitbucket data is stored in the US.
If you want to know more about what is on the roadmap regarding compliance and data management, you can always check out the public roadmap.
Hope this helps!
Hi @Pc Addon ,
please be aware that user personal data is stored in the US, regardless of your data residency choice. That might be a problem with regards to GDPR.
