Question to Atlassian - Add ability to Sort Custom fields by Type

Atlassian - is there any reason why the ability to sort Jira Cloud's Custom fields by Type column does not exist? All the other columns - Name, Screens and contexts, Projects, and Last used are sortable.

If at all possible, can you please add the ability to sort the Type column? It would make field searches a lot more efficient for Jira Admin customers.
