Quickly create an issue in To do status rather than Backlog

Hi all,

Sorry for the stupid question, but I've googled around and didn't find the answer :( 

So, my team is using Kanban. 

Jira allows me to quickly create issues in the Backlog status from the backlog view with "+Create issue".

Could you please help me to understand how I can quickly create an issue right away in To do status (with the same "+Create issue" action link) from this view?

Hi @Anita Sudan 

Although this won't be possible directly from the Backlog, Jira will soon allow you to change the default status of newly created issues to a status of your choice rather than the initial status of a workflow.

Hi,

You can't. When you create an issue, the issue will be in the first status of the workflow. May be you can ask your team to change to workflow
