Hi there!
I need to organize the backlog and the sprint backlog but I can't.
How can I add an ID for this?
If I click "Edit Filter Query" I can't find the option to change this, does anyone know another way to help select and drop the issues as before?
Thanks!
Hello @Natalia Rodríguez
Can you please provide more information about the problem you are trying to solve or what you are trying to accomplish?
You can drag and drop your issues to re-order them in the Backlog screen only if the filter for your board uses the ORDER BY Rank clause. If your board filter orders by any other field you will not be able to drag and drop the issue to order them.
It also appears that somebody may have added another custom field to your system and named it Rank, causing two fields to exist with the same name. You will likely need to get rid of that second custom field that has the same name. You should be able to find both fields in the Custom Fields list available from Settings > issues > Custom Fields. The original Rank field should look like this:
Hi @Trudy Claspill !
Thanks for the answer!
finally, I realized that there were two fields with the word "rank" and one of them was edited to solve this problem.
You are the best, thank you very much !!

Can RANK be made visible on the backlog list?

What problem are you trying to solve by showing the value of the Rank field?
Refer to these two articles that talk about Ranking issues and see if you still think displaying the value will solve your problem.

I believe that error message is describing the problem: someone has created a custom field with the same name as Rank, and so that is causing the problem.
Please consider either renaming or removing the user-created custom field to solve this, and then re-check your filter to ensure it is sorting on Rank. Then the drag-n-drop ordering will work again.
Best regards,
Bill

Hi @Bill Sheboy
indeed someone had created another field with the same name, and now in other projects, they can drag and drop.
Thanks for the observation!

Hi Natalia,
Does your filter have Order by Rank on the end of it?

Hi @John Funk !
Yes, now the filter appears like this:
I guess that was your question, you mean that right?
