Hi All,
I have two Jira instances with parallel screen and field configurations. Both have time tracking activated and the field 'Time Tracking' added to the screen configuration for sub-tasks.
On one of the instances, the fields 'Original Estimate' and 'Remaining Estimate' both appear on the normal issue edit screen. One the other, only 'Original Estimate' appear on the edit screen.
Both have the setting to reduce remaining estimate automatically when adding time spent (using the + on the time tracking section of the issue).
I cannot work out why remaining estimate does not appear on one of the two screens given they have the same configuration. Is there a reason I might be missing in another admin area?
We're using Jira Server v7.12.1.

Hello,
Maybe you have a scripting add-on, which hides the field on the second instance.
Outside of the language packs and query provider we only have a few add-ons - Portfolio for Jira, Portfolio Live Plans, Portfolio Team Management.
All modules activated - same on both environments. I'm assuming nothing in Portfolio would be causing this?

I think Portfolio should not cause it.
Have a look at this ticket:

Log Work added as a field on a screen this means?
I didn't have it as a field - added it and removed it again, but made no impact. Thanks for linking me to the ticket though, it did remind me I could add Log Work as an interim solution for the team.
Still unsure why Remaining is missing though!
