Hello,
Ok so, our workflow used to work well but someone modified things and there was no backup. To put in context, we use the kanban board to drag and drop issues. The problem is that the resultion screen now pops up for "done" state. I'm unsure of what I will say but I think this prevent a task from being put to "done" in the kanban board since it can't pop the window it seems?
Anyways, I believe it used to work fine, I thought all it needed was a post function on link to "done" that automatically put the status to done but that didn't seem to stop it.
What else am I missing?
Thank you!
It sounds like someone updated the workflow and added the resolution screen to the done transition. If you have jira admin permissions you can change the workflow and remove the screen from the done transition and then add a post function that will set the resolution field for you, if there isn't one already. This change will allow you to move issues to the done column without having to set the resolution in the pop-up window.
Oooh, ok yeah I think he put a new "done" resolution.
So in the workflow, I click the all --> done link then edit and set the screen to none?

Correct, and after clicking the all --> done link click Edit in the pop-up window on the right and from here you can remove the screen. After that is done click on Post functions to verify if you have one that sets the resolution. If you do not then just add a new one that sets the resolution.
