Reporter is not getting saved in my 'Task' issue type in Jira. Can anyone help?

I have created a new isuue type as Task in one of my projects.

While creating new Tasks- Reporter goes blank and I am unable to filter them on Reporters.

Please help in resolving this

If you have JIRA Administrator permission or ask your JIRA Admin to check if any Workflow's post function clears the reporter field?

I am the Admin, There is no such post function in the worklow.
