We have several projects in Jira Software with one custom workflow and one custom screen - now we would like to get an option to set resolution if task has reached status "Done". Is there a special workflow or screen needed for this request?
If it is possible it will be great when we can use our current custom workflow.
Attached you can find our workflow and screen.
When we open a task, there is the option to switch to the "old view" - there it is possible to set a resolution.
Hello @Dominik,
Create new screen, where you can put Resolution (required) and maybe other fields if you need. Then add this screen into your workflow, particulary into transition to status "Done".
If you need more information, let me know.
Bets regards,
Jakub
Hi @Jakub Hanak,
thank you for your support.
Two more question, I created already a new workflow with new scheme but I still get below message. The field resolution is already linked to the field scheme / screen?
Is there a possibility to reset the Resolution when we change the status back to "development" from "done"?
Thank you!

Hello @Dominik,
It's warning you that there are issue types you can't change to using the type as a field. The simple way to be rid of it is to remove the issue type field from the create and edit screens. Or, you could configure your issue types in the project to all work the same (although I doubt that's useful to you, most people have very good reasons to make them different).
To reset a "Resolution" field use a post-function "Update issue filed" and choose Resolution.
Best regards,
Jakub

@Dominik does this work for the new layout as well? I can not see the resolution field in new view even with using this.
