Restrict access as per component

Hi 

I would like to know if user access can be restricted as per component only in a project. I am not comfortable creating another project for group of people .

Components are a part of projects, not a way to control access.

The closest you can get is to automate something that sets a security level depending on Component set, but that could easily get very complex and messy.

Hi Nic Thanks for your reply and I realize the same that it wont be easy to create security as per Component but if Atlassian think of create some profile setting that a particualar will only be able to see the tickets in which they are tagged because its not a good idea to give access of whole project to someone who is only concerned for one or two tickets .

Yes, that's what issue security is for.
