Restrict all Issues with a certain Fix Version

Hello Atlassian Community,

I saw that it is possible to make an Issue not editable by adding "jira.issue.editable = false" to a status. But what I would like is being able to restrict issues that have FixVersion=v1.0.0 + all its subtasks for example. So based on what is set in a Field restrict permissions to edit.

Is there a way to do that?

Best Patrick

Hi @Patrick

I don't think, there's a direct way to do it - but you could achieve a similar behavior using such an approach:

  • Use an automation to transition all issues with a certain version to another status
  • For this other status, apply the workflow property ("jira.issue.editable = false") you've mentioned in order to disable the editing.

Does that help you?

Cheers,
Matthias.

Thanks, I will do that for the upcoming projects, now I dont wanna change the status because other people are pulling information with macros on confluence based on status, so I rather dont touch it.

I was looking at the Security Scheme Feature, it can be changed per issue which is great, but sadly it only hides issues from specific roles, etc.  People should still see em just not edit them, but I think the Security Scheme has no permission options, just show or hide to certain roles/groups

You're right about security schemes. They only control if people can see them or not.
