For our project we would like to be able to split communication, basically our supplier should be able to have their own communication on ticket without us seeing it and vise versa.
Is this possible ?

In Jira you can define the visibility of a comment by group or user role.
This is possible out of the box, each user can only select the groups or roles he/she's in.
There's a lock after the comment box where you can select this:

If you user jira service desk, then it will have two options for you. One is "share with customer" and the other one is "comment internally".
So it is impossible to restrict comment to specific group or role in service desk I think.
