So I received an email talking the Roadmap feature for Jira cloud. When I find information on how to enable it - I dont have 'feature' in my project settings. I am also unable to find pricing information or if this is part of our cloud package.
What I found: https://confluence.atlassian.com/jirasoftwarecloud/roadmap-955164013.html I pulled up one of my agile boards and then clicked on Project settings > Features -- But I dont have Features. (I dont see Features for any of my agile boards. ) So I am thinking this is a pluging or addon.
Has anyone else encountered this? Does any one have any suggestions?
Thanks!
In order to use the new Roadmap feature you must create a new project (existing projects can't use it) and choose the new Next-Gen template.
Cheers,
Elijah
Edit: Updated from Agility to Next-Gen.
Elijah,
I wondered about that. Thank you for the clarification!!

note the project template "should" be labeled as "Next-gen". "Agility" has been retired as that was the name used during beta.

Is there a cost for existing cloud users?

But the question is why is this feature not provided for the classical template
It should be upto the admins whether they want to add this feature to their board or not

I don't see an Agility template - when i create a new project.. is it the "Scrum" template? - if so then i don't see a Feature option to enable roadmap feature - any help here?

once you pick the template you can then go into project settings > features, then enable roadmap.

@Jack Brickey - This is the way to enable roadmap feature in Next-Gen version of Scrum
But What we are requesting here is to provide "Roadmap" in the classical template as well.

@amit.mutreja , Roadmap is only supported in NG. There is a suggestion open with Atlassian to support but as I understand no immediate plans to support. Feel free to watch/vote for JSWCLOUD-17214

Thanks. Voted.
But this feature should be added with an immediate effect. I don't understand, why Roadmap is not present in the classical project. It is such a basic need in any Scrum project.

Looked at the above, but can't seem to find where to choose the NG project... would appreciate any help :)

@Yael Dvorin , are you trying to create a TMP (previously NG) project? Are you an administrator? If not and you don’t see Team Managed Project templates then ask your admin to enable.

I am an administrator, but to be honest I can't seem to find the NG (nor TMP) project :(

Anybody know if there are plans to put Roadmap in existing (non-Next Gen) projects?

There has not been any communication on when or whether this will be brought to Server.

My team would like to see this feature brought to Server as well.

@scgrimes, you might consider watching/voting for this suggestion - JRASERVER-68153. It is more specific to Next-gen project template but I expect it would be a precursor for the Roadmap feature just as it is in Cloud.

Roadmaps are project specific. If you want a roadmap that spans multiple projects, you will need to create an Advanced Roadmap - but you will need to have a Jira Premium subscription to create that.

Yes I know. We will create one map per project as of now. I still can`t show the created issues in the Roadmap. I think I found something here: https://www.atlassian.com/agile/tutorials/epics
