I have a workflow project which I have set up to have a rule so that when it's assigned for approval, it automatically sets the assignee.
But when the usual approver is the author, I want to route the issue to someone else for approval.
I've looked at workflow properties, but I can't figure out how I can do this.
I don't want to have to buy an addon as there are only a few instances where this is needed.
Hi @Fiona Fletcher how do you assign usual approver as the assignee? Are you using automation or postfunction?
Via the UI, I've just used the edit workflow to add a rule, to perform the action to assign to this person.

Hi @Fiona Fletcher I think you will need to remove the Rule in your workflow and you can try using Automation. I tried to set up something like this. I think you will need something similar:
