Same issue, same sprint - shown in the sprint reports of two different agile boards - differ (!?)

bauerprocessconsulting September 28, 2018

So I have two different scrum boards on the same project.

Both scrum boards use the same sprints.

Several issues, belonging to the same sprint, display as added to the sprint after sprint start in the sprint report of one board, but added before sprint start in sprint report of the other board.

Same sprint !

Same Issues !

That does not make any kind of sense!

Please educate me - i'm loosing my mind and my temper!.....

Hi @bauerprocessconsulting

What you see in the board's report is not just for the actions done on that particular board.

Rather, it displays the data for all the issues that matches the Filter of the board. It will combine all the sprint actions performed in any board on those matching tickets of filter and report it.

Thank you for your answer, Fazila, but I fail to see its relevance.

The issue is really simple: Either an issue was added to a particular sprint after sprint start, or it was not added to a particular sprint after sprint start.

If two boards, based on same jql query, when I look at the sprint report for the same sprint, in one board shows an issue as added to that same sprint after sprint start, and in the other board shows the issue as NOT added to that same sprint after sprint start, what can be trusted?

SAME Sprint

SAME Issue

(and actually also SAME JQL QUERY under each board).
