For a particular engineer, to see a list of tasks he or she can do in a day. Scrum master or PM should not be able to assign task to the candidate for that day if engineer is already occupied.

Hi @Raghu Nekkanti -- Welcome to the Atlassian Community!

Would you please clarify a bit what you are trying to accomplish?  That may help the community to offer suggestions.

  • What do you mean by "candidate" and how is that different from "engineer"?
  • Your team appears to have a Scrum Master and PM.  Why are either one of them assigning tasks when the team appears to use Scrum practices?  Instead, Scrum team members normally self-assign, pulling new work when they have capacity.
  • Rather than preventing the assignment, what about instead raising the visibility of doing this?  This could be done with an automation rule to email the person who did it, or mark the issues with the "flag" for action.

Kind regards,
Bill

I'm afraid repeating a statement does not explain it.

Please could you tell us in more detail what you are trying to achieve?  Could you answer Bill's clarification questions?

Rewriting it slightly does not explain it either.

Could you answer Bill's questions?  That should help us understand,

Unfortunately, to my knowledge, there is no way to do that natively on Jira,

You can check for an app that may fulfill your requirement from the Atlassian marketplace : https://marketplace.atlassian.com/
