I have 7 subtasks
1 of the subtasks i would like to send a user info to a user after its closed. How can i set this up? Adding the user as a reporter or participant on the subtask doesnt seem to work.
I also setup an autmation to email the user when the subtask is closed but it only emails what is in the automation not the last comment in the subtask .
Hi @Jerrod Van
For a question like this, please post an image of your complete automation rule, images of any relevant actions / conditions / branches, an image of the audit log details showing the rule execution, and explain what is not working as expected. Those will provide context for the community to offer ideas. Thanks!
Until we see those...
Have you tried to add the user as a watcher instead?
In your rule, you may include the last comment with:
{{issue.comments.last.body}} and / or any of the other comment fields.
Kind regards,
Bill
Doesn't seem watcher is one of the fields i can select in my automation

There is a separate action to manage watchers. Do you see that one in your version of the automation rule editor?

Correct; there is a separate rule action to do that:

Please post an image of your current, entire rule. That will provide context to help decide where to add the manage watcher action.

First, please check your personal settings to see if you have notifications enabled.
Next, who made the change to the subtask? If you did it, I would not expect you to get notified (as you did it). Please ask someone else to update an issue you are watching to observe what happens.
