Hi Atlassian!
I´m working in Jira Work Management Cloud. We use the company-managed business project.
We use the timeline and the calender quite a lot to plan the work. What we want to do is to ensure that we never have more than four ongoing tickets during a certain time period. See images below. Number 1 and 2 both have overlapping issues where we have more than four tickets ongoing during a certain period. Picture 3 would be fine.
Is it possible to create a constraint that monitors and ensures this does not happen?
Trust you are well.
If it's still relevant and you are up to Partner Apps I would suggest to try Time in status Calendar & Roadmap App. There we have daily Work-in-progress (WIP) limits configuration to highlight what's exceeding.
Hope this helps.
Kind regards,
Yuri.
Hi Johannes,
Are you using a Kanban project ?
If so you can limit the number of issues that are in progress. More info here - https://www.atlassian.com/agile/kanban/wip-limits

Thanks for your response, Tara. I am using a kanban project within Jira Work Management. To limit the number of tickets based on status is one thing we´ve tried already.
We had another idea to limit the number of tickets that has the same Start & Due Date?
Johannes
