Setting issue entity property to jira.issue.editable = false using Jira Automation not working

I am setting issue entity property to jira.issue.editable = false but it is still editable. Not sure what I am missing here.

Although automation is successful.

jira.issue.editable is a workflow property.

So could you clarify if you're setting the workflow property through automation?

I was trying to set the property using automation. If this is not possible, is there any other way to set property.

Actually I am trying to make an issue read only for some users based on some triggers.

I saw one more option mentioned below, but I am not sure how to use it.

• jira.permission.edit.group.1=some-group-one
