Setting up automation in "Telegram" and "E-mail"

   Greetings to the entire "Atlassian" community!
   Can someone explain to me step by step how to implement the plan described in the following scheme?

   I'm using "JIRA Software".
   Perhaps, the platform has been chosen incorrectly?
   I go to “Project Settings” -> “Automation” - and there I don’t see fields to fill in with the information that I need according to the stated plan.
   The interfaces in the two cases are different.
   I need expert advice and help.

You will need to create an automation rule in Jira this rulle needs a trigger and optional a condition before the action (send web request)

Project Settings” -> “Automation” -> choose "Create Rule"

The text you want to specify on the telegram message needs to be specified in the Custom data field in the Send Web Request action.

Smart values for Jira description is:

{{issue.description}}

Name, depends on what you want top show, I usually use:

{{issue.reporter.displayName}}

I would create a test issue (inform the members of the telegram channel you are executing tests first) and see if on the telegram channel the message is received.

Or create a test telegram channel in relation with a Jira test project and create a rule on this project.

@Marc - Devoteam   I have already tried setting up automation and studied additional training materials in «JIRA». Nothing works neither in «Telegram» nor via «Email». I don’t even need to create new channels for this - because 100% failure is shown by validation through «Postman». There the result is unsuccessful when requesting a page response. I recorded the whole process on video - and I can send it to you for evaluation if you want.

I see you made a postman get call to Jira to a jira issue with key ISSUE-1, result does not exist.

Is there a issues in Jira with this key, I expect not.

Create an issue in your created project CRYSTALITE777, this will also trigger the automation you made.

See the log of the rule execution for details.

This will say CRYSTALITE-1 or other, do the same get in postman and replace ISSUE-1 with CRYSTALITE-1

This should then provide you with a result.

See what this all gives you and then we can move further.

I think you would benefit from this, free course to grasp the basics of Jira, before trying an integration with Telegram with automation.

This will explain you the concept on creating issues as I mentioned in my last comment with CRYSTALITE-1. And no the key is not a guess, as I saw your created project was named CRYSTALITE777 and the key of the project was CRYSTALITE.

So the first issue created in the project will have key: CRYSTALITE-1

The postman actions you showed in the video or the example url's used in the API doc's from Jira and don't mean this information is in Cloud instance upon creating one and, just making a project.

I hope the course will get you the basics and will help to use the automation you want to put in place.
