Show "X of X subtasks complete" on boards for projects other than classic business

The default board for classic business projects show for issues with subtasks a little progress indicator in form of "X of X subtasks complete". See attached picture below.

How do I get the same visual for Kanban boards based on custom JQL? I can't find a corresponding setting.

The Classic Business Project board is much simpler than the software boards and does not display sub tasks.  If you'd like to be able to see these in a Kanban board, you'd need to leverage Jira Software (which is a step up from Jira Core).

We don't want to see subtasks on our business boards.

We want to see the [X] / [Y] subtask counter (where X = Completed subtasks and Y = all subtasks) on Classic Software kanban issue cards.
