Simple Last Comment App

Is there an equivalent app for Jira Cloud?

Hi @Ernesto Di Luccia -- Welcome to the Atlassian Community!

I am not familiar with that app, and guessing from the name it displays the last comment added to an issue in some form of reporting.  Is that correct?

If so, you could build this yourself in Jira Cloud with a custom field and a simple automation rule to set the field.  Please look here if you want to learn more about automation rules:

Thank you for the suggestion and links, that is my next step. The nice part is that the app took a few seconds to install and it worked great.

Update on this - it seems that I will need to write something in code to say to copy the latest value in the comment field and paste it in the custom field Last Comment. Then I should be able to display the field on the search view. Does anyone know how to get the latest comment from the comment field and copy it to the Custom Field?

Hi, Ernesto.  An example automation rule to do this would be:

• trigger: issue commented
• action: edit custom field with the last comment's body:

{{issue.comment.last.body}}
