I'm a little confused on Site access settings and want to get some clarification. Currently, under "Approved Domains", "Approve the following domains" is checked and we have 3 domains specified.
Under "Access requests", we have "All new users on non-public domains can request access" checked.
So right now, anyone who requests access gets an account and gets access to our sites automatically. I'd like to change this so that all requests need to be "approved".
What specific settings do I need to change?
Hi @Chris Green , welcome to the Community!
The Approved Domains section dictates who can join your site and creation an account without an invitation. So anyone from those 3 domains you have set will be able to do this.
The Access Requests section controls whether new users can request access to a specific product for themselves. So even if "All new users on non-public domains can request access" is selected, it doesn't mean that they can join the instance automatically, it just means that they will be able to submit a request, and you will still be able to accept/reject these via the Access Requests section.
If you only want users from the same 3 domains to be able to request access for you to approve/reject, then you should select the "Only new users from the following domains can request access" option and add in your domains.
Hope this helps!
@Callum Carlile _Automation Consultants_ I believe I would also need to select "Don't approve any domain" under Approved domains, correct?

@Chris Green This will depend on whether or not you want all users (within your 3 domains or not) to have to be accepted to join. If you select this option, then this will be the case
