We cannot skip swimlanes and move straight to done, as it will automatically abandon the ticket. Sometimes we don't need feedback, and it can go from any of the lanes straight to done. Could this be reconfigured

First as a matter of terminology I believe you are referring to your board columns rather than swimlanes. Swimlanes are horizontal rows that gather the issues. With that said generally speaking yes you can configure your workflow so that you can skip statuses or columns. How this is done depends on the type of project you were dealing with. So if you could answer a few questions I might be able to get further guidance.
Generally speaking if this is a CMP project then you can edit the workflow under project settings and ensure that you have transitions that will allow you to skip between statuses. Often the "all" transition is used to allow for any to any status transition.
