Slack Integration - Send Message to Channel by Thread

Hello, 

I want to send the follow-up message providing the status of the issue which is already created. The problem is I want all the follow-up message sent to one thread. 

Is it possible? How could I do it?

Hi Nguyen, welcome to the Community!

The official built-in Slack app in Jira Cloud doesn't currently send messages to Slack via threads. (If you mention an issue key in a thread, it will provide the unfurl in the same thread, but this is different than status updates.)

I've had a look through some of the other Slack connectors on the Atlassian Marketplace and a couple do provide the particular functionality you're interested in. I'd suggest having a look through the available ones and seeing if there are additional features provided by any of the connectors that might be of interest to you as well.

We have recently observed that the Jira app is commenting on the slack thread with the issue card. We don't want this on the thread. How can we avoid this?
