Slack Integration in JIRA Cloud

Dear all,

I'm trying out Slack right now and find the integration with JIRA Cloud very interesting. However, if I add comments to an issue in Jira via Slack, they are not displayed there. Every time I click on "Open issue activity", I'm asked to do the following again: " Log in to[Company Slack Name] to see Slack messages". I've probably authorized it 100 times and nothing changes.

Additional info: I am the admin of both Jira and Slack. I did the integration on both platforms.

Hello Jan,

Thank you for raising this question.

Can you please let us know what is the plugin you are using to perform the integration? Here are the two most used plugins:

Jira Cloud for Slack (Official)

Slack Jira Integration

The first option is the official solution provided by Atlassian and the second one is from a third-party vendor (This version has some extra functionalities).

Additionally, The authorization problem that is in a loop seems to be related to a browser cache problem that can not retrieve the information. That being said, try to clear your browser cache and try to use a different browser to perform the same authorization steps.

If the steps above have the same results, please provide us with a screenshot of the screen displaying the "Open issue activity" and the exact steps you performed, so I can try to reproduce it from my side

Hi Petterson,

thank you for your quick response! Unfortunately, it didn't work. I used Google Chrome before, but it doesn't work with Firefox and empty cache either.

I am using the official solution by Atlassian.

Those are the steps I performed:
