Hi there
I can see Slack and JIRA integrations have been discussed quite a bit and there are numerous integrations that can do all sorts of notifications and ticket creations automatically and many other things.
My needs are simple - I've got JIRA Server. We all use Slack at work. When a ticket reference is typed in a message in Slack, I want the summary details and link to the ticket to be added in Slack.
I've seen this - https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/1216863/jira-cloud-for-slack-official?hosting=cloud&tab=overview but it's only Cloud. And I'm not seeing a Server version.
Any suggestions? Thanks!
Update
Earlier this year, Atlassian shipped an official Slack connector for Jira Server. Check it out here: https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/1220099/jira-server-for-slack-official?hosting=server&tab=overview
Hi Mark,
At present we don't have an officially supported Server -> Slack integration.
I am aware of at least one third-party built solution that can provide a summary when an issue key is mentioned in Slack. It's a bot that listens to your Slack channels and also needs access to your Jira server. The bot runs as a docker container. You can deploy it locally (best if your Jira Server is behind a firewall) or in AWS or another Cloud host (Heroku, etc) if you don't want to maintain it on local infrastructure.
Have a peek at it here:

Hey Daniel
That's a shame. I'm assuming there's quite a demand for it.
Great - I know Tom at Meanbee. Didn't realise they had done this! Got my sys admins booked to get it set up. Thank you!
