When using Jira website every module appears to be slow. There is about 2 seconds lag between clicking and response. Is there some type of configuration change we can do to speed up performance.

Hi @Nate Bowen

if you're running Jira Server and hosting yourself, you should have a look at your server load and determine if sizing is adequate in terms of RAM and CPU.

You could also check how your database is configured, if you're using the h2 embedded on or mysql/postgre/etc.

If you could have a look and give us more details we can then help you.

Let me know if you have any questions,

Yes that worked I created a new instance this time instead of using the embedded version the software gives you as a database I used SQL 2012 now question is there a easy way to copy over info from one database to another.

Hi @Nate Bowen

it's pretty easy to copy your data to your new instance, you just need to follow this documentation.

You will need to first export your data as an XML file, then import it on your new instance.

Let me know if you have any questions,
