Splitting the Backlog by having two boards

Lisa D. February 14, 2019

Hi Community,

we're having two boards (kanban and scrum) within one project.

our hope was, that there is one backlog and if we're putting an issue 'xy' to the kanban as a task, it wouldn't longer be visible in that backlog.

Same with issue 'ab': putting it to the scrum board (as part of a sprint), it wouldn't longer appear in the backlog, so that you can kind of 'sort' the issues.

Is there a way to realise my proposal? If there is, I would be thankful, if someone could explain the correct configuration to me please.

Best wishes and thx

Lisa

Yes, it is all related to the workflow and filter that you are using. On every board you see issues based on a JQL filter. If you set up filters in that way that on one board it would appear but on the other not (until someone transition the issue) you should achieve what you are looking for :)

Thanks Mirek for the quick response :). Do you have an example for setting a JQL filter in the scrum or/and kanban board?
