I manage several software projects on Jira for my company and use the same schemes across them, so this issue is intensely weird. We have both Story Points and Story point estimate fields available standardly. Only ONE of my projects actually display the Story Points field on the relevant cards, while the rest I can't get it to show up. I've checked the Default Field Configuration (they're both there!), the schemas, the screens, and the issue layout, and it's set in all of those places identically. The projects all appear to be set up identically. Any ideas for additional areas to check?
Team managed project uses - Story point estimate field
Company managed project uses - Story point
If you are able to see the story point estimate field in company managed project that's a bug and shouls not be used
Here's a bug reported on that
https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JSWCLOUD-17173
And explanation here
Thanks
Thank you, Pramodh, but I see that all of my projects are company managed projects, so I am dealing with the bug, but not sure why I can't use the story points on most of them.

Please make sure the Configuration related to Fields, Screens are correct in order to have the field on the view issue screen.
You could start troubleshooting by navigating to project setting and then selecting each of the configurations (field, screen, issue layout) have the field appropriately configured

Hi again @Pramod
What's baffling is that all of my projects use the same System Default Field Configuration. When I look at the Story Points field (screenshot attached), it's configured for all of my in scope projects, but it only appears for the one preceded by "UI" (circled in green). The other three (circled in red) it does not appear on the card.
I also have a screenshot of the screen config:
These are completely identical to the one project's settings where this field shows up properly. They are all company managed projects.
When I look at the layout, I see this:
I'm utterly stumped on where else to look.

Be sure to check the issue layouts configuration as well
By default it's only available for story and epic issue type, which is defined by context. Let me know if it's other than story or epic issue type.

@Pramodh M - it doesn't appear for any issue type at all in these projects. It shows up in tasks, stories, and epics in the one project. They are all using the same issue layout configuration.
I also went ahead and set up the field configuration for this to appear everywhere now, not just the active workflow screens. It's still not appearing.

I was finally able to find the answer, @Pramodh M !
https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Jira-questions/Story-Points-field-disappeared/qaq-p/829254
The answer was (VERY WEIRDLY) to look under custom field settings. Apparently this was applied to ONLY one project.
Thank you for all of your help.
