Statistics per version screen removed from JIRA 7

Ryan Brothers June 28, 2018

JIRA 7 and later removed the screen that would display statistics on a per version basis - see https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JSWSERVER-14838.

This screen is critical to my company and how we manage versions, releases, and ticket assignments - especially as we have a custom workflow with many statuses.

Is there a reason it was removed?  Or is there any equivalent in JIRA 7?

Thank you for your help.

Ryan

They replaced it with the release hub, and you can get some of the same information from it. I do not know the reason behind removing it, I believe it was around the time they were moving to three different Jira offerings. You could recreate most of the statistics using dashboards.

Thanks for your reply.  The Release hub doesn't work for us because we have custom workflows with many statuses.  Our tickets aren't just open vs closed which the Release hub seems to imply.  We need a breakdown by status which the old statistics page had.

We did think about recreating the old statistics page via dashboards.  The problem we're running into is I believe we'd need to create a separate dashboard/filter per version.  We have many projects/versions, so creating a separate one for each would be too much.  Is there a way to have dropdowns for project and fix version in a dashboard, so they could be picked on the fly?

You would have to write your own gadget in order to add drop-downs, or it looks like this app has that option, Rich filters for Jira dashboards
