I have a Jira Kanban board and have epics with child stories. All have Start and Due dates. The epics have corresponding bars displayed on the time line, however the stories while appearing as rows under the epics, do not have a bar on the timeline side. What could cause this as i want the bars to display. For epics on can click where the bars are and set the dates, for stores i cant even click where the bars should be.
Hi @Jake S,
Navigate to your board settings and under timeline make sure to enable child level issue scheduling.
Hope this helps!
I'm having this same issue, and have child level issues enabled. My timeline doesn't have epics as they are in another company managed project - is there any way to see all my stories on the timeline?

Really dumb. same problem. I shouldn't have to create EPICs just to use the timeline. Terrible product decision.

Has anyone resolved this? I'm having the same issue. "Include Child-level Issue" is already enabled in Board settings but the bars are not in the timeline.
Edit: I turned off the Include Child-level Issue and then turned it back on again. It is now working. It seems to be a glitch.
