Story points field not appearing in one view

Hi,
I was having a problem with two projects, because the Story points didn't appear in the issues, after I used the "Where is my field?" option I could add the field again, but it only appear in this view

First view.jpg

But it doesn't appear when I open an issue:

What do you think it might be missing? Thank you in advance.

so i'm a bit confused because the second image has the story points displayed? Maybe this is not the issue where it isn't displayed? Can you share that image if so? I wonder if you are dealing with the new issue view. If so then you would need to add Story Points field to the primary or secondary view in the issue Layout config screen.

Hi, @Jack Brickey ,
Something really weird is happening, first I thought that this problem is not appearing in some issue types but after checking another story type issue, I got that the Story point don't appear:

And when I try to use the "Where is my field option?" it gives me this:

I think the last image is telling you the reason - "The field 'Story Points' does not have a value...and will not be displayed." The way Jira works is that it does not display fields if they are empty. The idea being to keep clutter down. this can be a bit unfortunate if you want to be able to edit directly on the detail view screen.

Does this make sense or am I still missing the issue?

Yes, it makes sense, thank you for your help, @Jack Brickey .
If we need more investigation on this part we'll continue asking here, I hope is not a problem.
