On Jira Cloud, when synchronizing Work Item (WI) links into the description from Polarion, the thumbnail icons get enlarged and render as 183px × 183px instead of the expected 16px × 16px.
On Jira On-Premise, the same WI links display correctly at the smaller size.
No additional styling is being applied from our side, and both environments use the same synchronization logic.
Has anyone else encountered this behavior on Jira Cloud?
Is this expected behavior in Cloud, or is there a known workaround to keep the thumbnails at the proper size?
Please refer to the attached screenshot.

Hi @Team Epsilon Admin welcome to the Community. I took a quick look at Atlassian's Jira Site and didn't see anything specific to Polarion/Jira integration and this issue. Is there a way to confirm the data coming out of Polarion has the appropriate image sizes? That would help to confirm on which side the issue could be.
If the issue is actually on the Jira side of things, since you have an Enterprise license, you can interact with Atlassian Support to have them weigh in on what is going on so it could be looked at in more detail.
Hope that helps.
Hi @Dan Breyen
Thank you for your insights on the issue.
I have confirmed the behaviour on Polarion side, the thumbnail (image) size is correct, it works as expected for the Jira - On premise. The problem only exists for the Jira - Cloud.

I requested Atlassian Support chime in here. If you don't get a response, I would suggest using that link and opening a Work Item for Atlassian Support.

Hello @Team Epsilon Admin
Thanks for reaching out to our Community about your image sizing discrepancy between Jira DC and Jira Cloud. From what I understand, you're using the Polarion Connector for Atlassian Jira. If this is the case, you'll need to reach out to the vendor, Siemens PLM, as they own the integration and syncing mechanism between products.
If this is not the case and you're using another third-party app, we suggest you coordinate with that vendor to find the root cause of the issue. The App vendors work with our ecosystem support teams to report bugs internally.
