On the previous versión, when some link (JIRA) with a tag was added to comment, email attaches image status, for example:
KEYPROYECT-58 [Backlog]
With last update: image, link and status disappear...
Notifications sent by email have the same problem
Hello,
Thank you for your feedback about this missing functionality.
In fact, the New issue view is still a lab feature on JIRA application, so our developers are still working to get some features implemented to it, including the status description that appears in the issue link.
For the specific feature you mentioned, you can check our development team progress in the feature request below:
- The issue link is not working properly in the new detail view
Feel free to vote and watch the suggestion to increase its priority and also receive notifications about any updates.
For now, the only workaround available is to switch back to the Old UI by clicking in your profile picture at the bottom left-corner of JIRA application > Personal settings > turn off the new issue view lab feature.
Let us know if you still have any questions.

This is definitely an issue for us as well and the key reason why people keep switching back to the old view. Not having this capability removes key functionality for us. We've invested time and effort coaching/encouraging people to take the time to cross-reference their work in tickets. There are times when it makes more sense to mention a related ticket in a comment vs using the link function.
The impact of not having this functionality is backsliding from good practices and potential misses on connected work.
