Tasks are not shown when grouping "List" by Sprint?

Kapil Joshi November 13, 2024

Hi all,

I couldn't find answer to my question on this forum. Sorry if there is a duplicate thread already.

I have a Jira Software project (Team-managed) with "List" feature enabled. When I switch to "List" view and use group by "Sprint" option. I only see Stories but not Tasks. I can confirm that I have set the Sprint field on Tasks/Stories correctly. Stories (Parent) and Task (Child) have the same Sprint field set.

Is this default behavior or am I missing something?

Thank you!

Hello @Kapil Joshi

If you are still experiencing this problem can you provided the following information?

1. From the Project Settings click on Issue Types and provide a screen image that shows a list of the issue types for the project. Example:

2. A screen image of the Scrum board view, showing an issue that is missing from the List view.

3. A screen image of the List view with the Sprint expanded in which you expect to see the missing issue.

Hey Trudy,

I raised a ticket with Atlassian support after waiting for some time to get a response on this post. Atlassian support have confirmed that this is a bug. Here is the ticket they have created.

Thank you for that additional information. I suspected that the missing issues were subtask.
