I am trying out Advanced Roadmaps for Jira Cloud. I wanted to get team sprints to show in the timeline. Based upon my reading, it looks like you need to have the "team issue source" assigned for sprints to show up correctly. According to the following article:
"When you add a team to your plan, you need to indicate where their work lives in either a project, a board, or a filter."
However, when I go to the Team Settings to change the issues source, all I see in the dropdown are a list of the Jira projects, not boards or filters.
Am I misunderstanding what is written, or is something missing?
The issue source shows only the boards, not project an filters.
As your source to see sprints within a roadmap plan, requires to have the scrum board as a source.
This answer was a bit confusing to me, but I was able to infer the source of my problem. In order for a board to show up in the dropdown for a team's "issue source", the board needs to be added as an "issue source" for the advanced roadmaps plan. I only had projects as my plan's sources, so only project showed up for the teams.
To change this, you go to Plan Settings -> Issue Sources and add Board sources.
