Did you mean:

There are no issue types with compatible field configuration and/or workflow associations

Gregory Oakes April 10, 2018

I have created a Project with a custom workflow (1st time I've done this so that could be a problem) but when I attempt to edit the ISsue Type I get the following message:

"There are no issue types with compatible field configuration and/or workflow associations". I only have two issue types in the project - Task and Sub Task.

I have checked the Workflow scheme, the Screen scheme and the Field Configuration scheme and they all have the Issue Types associated.

What am I missing (apart from brain cells?

Thanks in advance

Greg

Despite the two issue types having the same configuration, they are of two incompatible types - standard and subtask.  The one fundamental difference between them is stopping your edit.  Subtasks have a mandatory parent field, standard issues cannot have one.

Try using "convert to standard/sub-task" on the options menu for the issue instead.  That will ask for a parent, or strip it, depending on which way you're going.

That worked. Thanks for that!
