Hi all,
We're trying to get Time Tracking reports, for instance to see how long it took to resolve issues.
There should be an option in the project under Reports, the only thing is, we don't see the option to choose Time Tracking reports.
We're filling in the estimates and time is being logged. What are we missing?
Hi @Jeffrey van Oostenbrugge,
To track the work your team has done and analyze task-specific contributions, you might consider report that provide detailed insights. For instance:
Timesheet Report:
This type of report is displayed in a table format, providing a comprehensive overview of worklogs associated with issues within a selected date range. At the bottom of the table, you can click on the total for a specific date to see a pop-up with all worklogs from Jira users for that day.
Time Spent Report:
Presented as a bar chart, this report shows the total hours logged on issues by each user for a chosen period. By clicking on a specific bar, you can drill down into detailed issue views and see the time spent on each issue for that user.
If these are the types of insights you're after, our team has developed Report Hub, a tool specifically designed to enhance reporting in Jira. And you can be sure it works with Team-managed projects
Hope it helps!
Hi @Jeffrey van Oostenbrugge ,
Welcome to Atlassian Community!
If you don't mind getting an app from Atlassian Marketplace, then for seamless and precise way to keep track of your time tracking reports, I would want to suggest our app called "Time Assistant - Time Tracking and Workload Dashboard".
Time Assistant allows you to overview your workload in customizable time periods based on pre-defined actions.
Additionally, the overview within the Time Assistant is helpful in viewing the issues assigned, opened, edited, commented by you and also these which have mentioned you in the comments.
Time Assistant also allows the user to quickly log time to the issues, or even incorporate a timer, which counts the time spent on a specific task and then convert it to the logged time within the issue.
The favorites tab contains the selected issues that you regularly work on and log time regularly.
It is also worth adding that Time Assistant is based on the Jira's native time tracking feature, so all previously logged times within the issues should be added into the report.
If you haven't tested our app yet, I invite you to do so - it looks like it should meet your requirements.
You can also book a demo with one of our experts and we will showcase the app and answer any questions you might have, or you can contact us through the portal here.
All the best,
Tomasz

Hello once again @Jeffrey van Oostenbrugge ,
I would like to apologize, as I have reviewed your question once again and have realized that the suggested app by me might have been not completely suitable to your needs.
Time Assistant focuses on systematic time logging, however, according to your question, you are looking for a solution for reporting the previously logged time.
For such needs, I would like to recommend our app called Worklogs. It allows users to create and view reports of the time spent by the members of your team on a variety of tasks.
However, as I'm interested in your use case, I would like to ask you what kind of time reports you would like to exactly track?
As an example, Worklogs can create reports which display only finished issues and the time spent on them by users + original estimate, would such a thing suit you?
Please take a look at the screenshot, which shows the mentioned example of such a report:
I'm looking forward hearing from you!
Best regards,
Tomasz

Thanks for the reply!
Time tracking is enabled, that isn't the problem.
We've already registered time in issues, the thing is we want to display this using the reports option, but it doesn't show somehow.

@Jeffrey van Oostenbrugge Thanks for the insight, can you confirm the project type -
Is it Team managed ? then it is the actual behavior.
As Time Tracking reports are only available in Company-Managed Projects only.

@Humashankar VJ it is actually. Is there some sort of workaround or can I change the project to Company-Managed to see if it works?

Jira does not support a direct conversion from a Team-Managed project to a Company-Managed project.
The recommended way would be create - New Company-Managed Project and do a bulk move.
To learn more - Migrate between team-managed and company-managed projects | Jira Cloud | Atlassian Support.
Solved: Change a jira project from team managed to company...
