Time & Date Formats issue

Jason Grainger April 1, 2020

I've set my time and date on a Jira Software Roadmap in accordance with the Configuring Time and Date Formats link to dd MMMM yyyy however it is still showing as a US date format - 2020/01/12.

Do i need to change it anywhere else?

Hello @Jason Grainger

Welcome to Atlassian Community!

Can you please let us know if you are talking about the Jira Roadmap in Next-gen Projects of Jira or are you talking about the Roadmap macro in Confluence?

I ask the question above because the link you provided is related to the Confluence Application, however, your question seems to be related to Jira Application.

Anyway, I suggest to check your Look and feel menu in Jira application, since this is the page that controls the date format of all fields in Jira:

  1. Choose the Jira icon (, or ) > Jira settings > System
  2. Under USER INTERFACE, select Look and feel.
  3. In the Date / time formats section, click the value of the element you want to configure, then update the value as necessary.

Let us know if this information helps.

Hello @Jason Grainger

Thank you for the details.

I believe you might be facing the following bug in your Jira Application:

Date format set on look and feel is not reflecting on the new issue view on the board

Just to confirm if this is the case and not a different problem in your Look and feel, can you please change your date format under your look and feel settings to dd/MMM/yyyy and check if it works?
