Time since assigned to the current assignee

Franklin Cadre April 24, 2019

I would like to know  the time or date since the issue is assigned to the current assignee. This field or count would be reset each time the assignee is changed.

Thank you for your help,

Hello Franklin,

I hope you are having a nice day.

There is a workflow post function in JIRA which can update a date/time field once a transition is performed, however, Post functions cannot be triggered when a field is changed.

That been said, you can use Automation Lite for JIRA Add-on to create an automation that will update the field date/time for the current one when the assignee field is changed:

P.S: JIRA Automation add-on has 300 free executions per month.

Let me know if this information helps.

Hey Petterson,

Thank you for your answer! I already tried this add-on but it is too expensive for only one action performed with it...  and we have, on average, 50 issues created a day so it would be way above 300 executions per month.

Have a nice day,

Franklin

hi - need same solution without any cost - do we have any ?

A time counter should be a basic function of any project management system, not some tricky bit of code. We are trying to scale from 4 people to 8 people (not exactly big). I need this simple automation so team members can self manage - customer service has slipped and I am losing sales.
