Tracing JIRA actvity in atlassian log file

Sujata June 8, 2018

I am unable to find out each and every activity related  logs performed by user or admin in JIRA log file.

I am looking for log like ,

1. Account lockouts & unlocked
2. Password reset (self or administrative)
3. Changes in security policies and user access (for example new role or group is created/updated/delete)
4. Changes in user privileges assigned

I have changed options from Logging and profiling but of no use.

JIRA version is 5.2.11

Hi @Sujata,

you will find this information in the audit log within the administrator-gui (Cog-Menu -> System -> Audit-Log).

Audit-Log option is present under plugins-> Add-ons -> Audit Log

But it is not showing any application specific log, it is showing plugin related log 'Successfully started the Universal Plugin Manager'

is it due to jira version?(ours is 5.2.11)

That is probably an Audit Log for the add-ons, as it appears in the add-on section.

Please have a look at the Audit Log in the System Section

We are using standard JIRA software and 'Audit Log' option is not present in System section.

Then the Audit Log will have be added in a later release, so you will have to update to use this mechanism.
