Hi Team,

None of my team member is able to edit the issue [Issue Status], it says you don't have permission to transition this issue.

Please help.

Regards,

Sayed

Check 'transition issue' permissions, it's not 'edit'.

Hi @Sayed Kamaloddin Peerzade

This could be because of two things.

  1. View the workflow first. Maybe you changed the workflow and there is not next status you can transition from the current status.
  2. Check Permission Scheme. Maybe your administrator has updated something with Issue Transition, Updating Issues Permission and you as an individual or your team as a group is not included under that permission.

Kindly contact your administrator for resolving the issue.

Hi,

Thanks for the update. I am the admin and given the permission correctly. Recently my team is unable to edit the status after fixing the issue.

Regards,

Sayed

@Sayed Kamaloddin Peerzade Can you share the output when you click the option View Workflow below? It seems like your current workflow donot have any further status that you can move after To Do. For me I can move to these status.

@Sayed Kamaloddin Peerzade

I think you missed to provide them the developer role. Add them in  the developer group and verify once. I am sharing you my scheme. My team members are able to edit. In the same scheme try adding one of your single team member and ask to verify if that individual is able to edit.

@Sanjog Sigdel  I have created the group from group master and the team members. Provided the product access to that group. In default scheme for edit issue i have mapped the newly created group and checked.

It's the same. Not working for me. How to do it.

Can you share the Jira Workflow for your project? And is there any special condition and validation in the workflow?

In my project a Ticket cannot be moved to In Progress from To Do unless the ticket is estimated and assigned to someone.

Hi @Sayed Kamaloddin Peerzade Are those team members under the default groups Jira Users and Jira Developers? The basic permission scheme for Jira Developers allows individuals to edit the ticket and ticket status.

Can you share the permission scheme and screenshot of your workflow?
