Two dimentional filter gadget reflects data out of order?

The order of the status in the Agile gadget on our dashboard appears to be out of order.

We would expect it to reflect in order:

To Do
In Progress
Resolved
Closed.

Instead it shows:

In Progress

Resolved

Closed

To Do

We have verified the board columns are in the proper order of:

To Do
In Progress
Resolved
Closed

Can anyone explain how/if we can change this?  It doesn't make sense to have the "To Do" as the last column.

We are running Jira Server v.7.6.2.

The gadget has no way of guessing what your workflow might be, let alone any boards, it's simply been handed data with a load of status in it.

My best guess is that it's sorting them by the order they were added to your Jira - I suspect if you look at the ids that are behind them, you'll find In progress has an id like 10020, then Resolved 10030, Closed 10050, and To Do 10090 - the counter goes up every time a new status is created, so higher numbers = newer.
