I have an automation rule on Tasks that has an action that edits the issue and copies some field from the Epic to the Task. It works. However, recently I opened the rule and the UI does not show that the field is copied from the Epic. Instead it shows the field to be set as empty (with "Type to find value..." written).
Again, the rule works fine, and copies the field from the Epic, but when opening the rule's configuration, it is missing the information on how the field is set, and this is problematic (as it makes it very difficult to maintain the rules).
This happened to us on at least three different rules. It seems like all of the cases were related to copying the field from the Epic.
Hello @Omer Meshar
Welcome to the community.
Can you provide a screen image of what you are seeing?
Has this happened in all instances where a value is being copied from the Epic, or only some instances?
Hi Trudy,
Thanks!
I am not sure if this happened in all instances. It happened in all instances I saw so far (but there are many rules, and I didn't open each and everyone to check) with copy from Epic. Today I found it also happened in copy from Trigger, and only on a few fields.?
What we are seeing is this:
You can see that the fields "Is this a Regression" and "Affects versions" seem empty, though we do see that they are copied from the Trigger issue.
Also:
is an example of a field we copied from Epic, and now looks like it is empty (though it does work).
