I have tried to install:
https://MYDOMAIN.atlassian.net/jira/marketplace/discover/app/com.stonikbyte.great.gadgets.plugin
1. I am the Domain Admin
2. My domain has less than 10 users
3. I have been able to install OTHER "Free to use for <10 person team" apps.
Has anyone else encountered this? Even with a different app?
I've communicated with the App supplier, but their recommendation was to open a support ticket, yet not having a 1:1 ticket support account, I'm asking the community to leverage the power of their collective experience/knowledge.
Any ideas??
Thanks.
Hi @Marcelo Lopez , I’ve run into this issue before.
The first time, the problem was unpaid Atlassian invoices (licenses or apps/plugins). As soon as I settled the invoices, the installation completed successfully.
The second time, the default group that grants the Jira Admin license wasn’t set. I’m not sure how that’s related, but configuring the default group fixed it.
Path: Admin → Products → Jira Administration → Manage.
Licenses, trials, and app subscriptions are managed by Atlassian through the Atlassian Marketplace platform. Unfortunately, we, the app vendors, have no control over this part.
We have encountered various cases where users were unable to install the app. As a solution, we asked them to open a ticket with Atlassian Sales Support (here https://support.atlassian.com/contact/#/ ), which resulted in a quick resolution of the issue.
This is the error message that occurs in Atlassian Marketplace when the app installation fails:
In most cases, the issue was caused by a missing or expired payment method (at the Jira site/organization level), in other cases it turned out to be an issue in the apps installation "workflow", which the Atlassian DEV fixed. So nothing wrong in the app itself...
Again, for this type of issue, the best solution is to open a ticket with Atlassian Sales Support; they can help you resolve it quickly.

I don't think this is an issue with the app itself, @Danut M _StonikByte_ .....
I was able to install OTHER apps, which is what made this weird.
Very strange.

Hi Marcelo,
While you are waiting on responses, I will see if someone from Atlassian can come take a look.

That's much appreciated, because I cannot try @Danut M _StonikByte_ 's suggestion because my instance is on the FREE plan, and so one is defaulted to asking the community.
