I am unable to share a company managed project with other users. I have (amongst other) added the user specifically to the project from project settings as Administrator but they keep getting this error:
"It seems this board doesn't have an assigned location.
You can ask your board administrator to assign it to a project or user."
The board is assigned to a project so it has a location and t I have added them directly to the project with admin rights.
I find the permissions in Jira a bit daunting.
Ultimately the problem was with access to a single board of a company managed project. This board was built off a filter to which the user did not have access. After adding the appropriate group to the filter, it all fell into place.
Hello Paul,
Does the user in question have the right to "Browse the project" ?
You can check this by going to your project settings -> Permissions and then checking the list of groups and roles that are allowed to see your project and making sure that this user is in one of those.
I also recommend you this little course on the Atlassian university for managing permissions in Jira Cloud:

I hope this helps.

@Houssein Barkallah Thanks, the webinar clarified some concepts and was useful. Ultimately the problem was with access to a single board of a company managed project.
